Be sure when responding to your books that you make a "new post" (upper right hand corner). In the title, include what book you read and your name. This makes it easier for us to respond to each other.

Analyze the text can mean a variety of things. In essence, you are discussing what the author is trying to communicate (theme), and how the author communicates it (literary devices). You can analyze theme, characterization, figurative language, setting, oxymorons (tensions, conflicts in the text), word choice, mood, tone, etc. You can also choose 1 or more key quotes to the novel and discuss those in your post.
This assignment will be worth 100 points upon returning to school in the gradebook. Happy reading!
